Rangers fans react positively to appointment of Neil Lennon at Celtic

After steering our rivals to two out of their three trophies this year, Neil Lennon has been appointed the Celtic manager.
After their fans were chanting about the likes of Jose Mourinho and Rafael Benitez joining the club, you can why it’s a bit of an anti-climax. The Celtic manager might have steadied the ship, but he isn’t an inch on either of those two.
It’s true he’s not anywhere near as intimidating than Brendan Rodgers either. As a result many Rangers fans are happy with the notion he’ll be in charge at Parkhead next season.

Rangers fans clearly see Lennon as a beatable option at Celtic and believe his appointment has given them a leg up next year. It’s hard to disagree with that either.
Lennon is not remotely in the same ballpark as those other names mentioned. He was struggling with Hibs prior to his sacking. He’s also unlikely to attract the kind of names those managers could.

But whilst time will tell if Lennon’s appointment turns out to be a good one for Rangers, it’s certainly filling fans with optimism.
