Rangers fans have raved about Steven Davis for his outstanding display in the 3-3 Europa League draw with Benfica on Thursday night.
Davis has been in strong form over the early part of the season but has been overshadowed recently by the likes of Glen Kamara and Scott Arfield.

The veteran was the standout performer in the middle at the Estádio da Luz, though, as he put on a distribution masterclass.
It was Davis’ perfectly timed ball over the top for Ryan Kent in the 19th minute that caught out two-time Premier League winning defender Nicolas Otamendi, with the Argentine’s cynical foul seeing the opposition reduced to ten men.
The sending off gave the Northern Ireland skipper more freedom to work his magic and he was heavily involved in the equaliser that followed just five minutes later.
His well-weighted through ball released James Tavernier in behind the Benfica defence and the skipper’s cross was inadvertently turned in by Diogo Gonçalves.

Benfica were allowed back into the game by defensive lapses, but Davis recorded an excellent pass completion rate of 94.1% [WhoScored.com], which reflected the quality of his individual display.
Plenty of Rangers supporters were impressed by the 35-year-old’s showing and took to social media to praise him.
