Rangers fans laud sublime Glen Kamara pass in win over Celtic

Rangers fans have lauded Glen Kamara after footage of his sublime pass in the second half of the win over Celtic emerged on social media.

The Gers dominated the first Old Firm of 2020, emerging 2-0 winners courtesy of two goals from Connor Goldson.

The match-winning brace ensured the centre-back hogged the headlines, but many Bears were equally impressed by Glen Kamara’s outstanding display in midfield.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

The 24-year-old put in arguably his best-ever performance in a Rangers shirt and looked unflappable at Celtic Park.

He used his body expertly throughout to evade the likes of Scott Brown and Olivier Ntcham, while he stuck admirably to his defensive duties, providing highly effective cover for left-back, Borna Barisic.

However, perhaps the most impressive aspect of his display was the progressive nature of his passing.

The Finland international has been criticised at times for being too safe in possession but he showed real willingness to move the ball forward in the derby, with a sublime pass to Ryan Jack late in the second half, the pick of the bunch.

Kamara looked to be in a tight spot after receiving the ball on the back foot inside his own half, but he turned potential trouble into a dangerous attack in a split second with a reversed pass to Jack which cut out several opposition players.

Footage of the pass was shared by multiple supporters on Sunday, all of whom marvelled at the midfielder’s vision.
