Rangers fans have expressed their disappointment with Castore on Twitter on the eve of the club’s opening Premiership fixture.
The Gers take on Aberdeen live on Sky Sports on Saturday afternoon as competitive football returns to Scotland for the first time since March.

However, a considerable number of supporters fear that their new home shirts won’t arrive in time for kick-off.
Those who pre-ordered the extremely popular new design expected to receive their purchases in advance of the first game of the campaign, but with less than 24 hours to go, that looks unlikely for the majority.
Some fans have received no word whatsoever from the kit suppliers, while others were sent dispatch emails with a message suggesting that it may still be a number of days before delivery is completed.
The partnership with Castore has been hailed as a new beginning by the club following years of retail failings and legal battles.

Yet, some believe this first blip is a sign that the Liverpool-based company will be unable to cope with the demands of servicing the Rangers fan base.
Here’s a selection of reactions from Twitter:
Lesson learned for Castore in future I hope, don’t make promises that something will be delivered on a date then issue an update the day before saying it could be a few days later, surely 50k was to ensure that delivery was met. Disappointing given all the PR and interviews🤷🏻♂️ pic.twitter.com/piuoiiRNXY

1st major target was to get the pre ordered shirts out to the fans as promised and on time. Castore have failed with that. This doesn’t look good for them tbh.

Email from Rangers / Castore basically translates to say you won’t receive your top tomorrow, what was even the point in pre order 🤷🏼♂️

Castore clearly not big enough to cope with the demand . Basic business mistakes made already and a huge missed opportunity by Rangers to earn extra money to boost the squad.

If only they could deliver on time were quick to take my money tho #castore

Disappointed in Castore, what was the point of pre-ordering the top and not get it on 1st August?

The new Rangers away kit, which is predominantly white, is set to be released tomorrow morning and has so far met with a mixed reception from supporters.
