Rangers fans have taken to the internet to praise Johnny Hayes for helping a young man stand up to bullies.

Hayes, 31, stood in after he saw young Callum McIvor being picked on by four boys near Celtic’s training ground.

The Celtic winger then helped the youngster home and even sent him a Celtic top and with a message urging him to rise above.

There’s just one thing though – Callum is a Rangers fan!

It was a classy act from the Celtic player and is a good news story amongst the rough and tumble of the Old Firm. It’s a nice touch of humanity and generosity and one young Callum will surely hold dearly for a long time.
