Rangers fans using the club’s MyGers membership scheme were left confused and disappointed after the Castore kit launched early on their official website.
Rangers had previously suggested that those on the new membership scheme would have exclusive access to the new kit before anyone else this morning.
The club claimed on their official Twitter account that MyGers members would get early access to the kit “exclusively” as they prepared for the highly anticipated launch.
However, the kit was available to the public via the Castore website from around 8am this morning, an hour before non-MyGers members were supposed to have access.
The Liverpool-based premium sportswear brand is taking pre-orders for 50,000 kits, with the stylish new top landing on the 1st of August.
With 20,000 members the initial idea would have been to give those shelling out for a membership the chance to snap one of the kits up before anyone else.
Whilst there are still plenty of kits available for the pre-order online via the Castore website, it’s left a salty taste in the mouths of some fans.

The Rangers SLO Greg Marshall would later explain that the MyGers members were given access to the launch video and Castore link first.
That video and the kit itself has been well received by supporters who are excited about the release of this season’s merchandise.
The MyGers membership scheme has attracted 20,000 signatures with the promise of various benefits and a point-based loyalty system.

Still in its early stages, fans have shown a willingness to adopt the scheme even during these tough times and there will now be added scrutiny on whether they are receiving value for their money going forward.
The scheme launched ahead of the new season and to join it costs £40 for adult season ticket holders and £50 for non-season ticket holders [Rangers].
