Rangers boss Steven Gerrard is a highly sought after man in England – at least according to reports – and it’s something Rangers fans must get used to.
Every time there is a high-profile job opening in England, the likelihood is Gerrard will be linked.
A former England captain and Premier League legend, it’s unsurprising.

Gerrard’s been linked with the likes of Derby County and Newcastle United in the last week with Frank Lampard seemingly Chelsea bound and Rafa Benitez leaving St. James’ Park.
Even if Derby Chairman Mel Morris rubbished the Gerrard links [talkSPORT], there’s no doubt the former midfielder would be in the hat if there was an opportunity he was interested.
There was even talk of an £8m Premier League promotion bonus. Let’s be honest, Gerrard to anywhere in the Premier Leagueor Championship makes for a good headline.
The Rangers boss vehemently denied any interest in jumping ship, saying it was a “privilege” to manage at Ibrox [
The club was also quick to come out and extinguish any smouldering rumours on the subject [Evening Times].
Gerrard has made it clear that prestige comes before money and has touched on his pride at being at the helm of this great institution.

Whilst it makes good copy to link him with a move back home to England, you can sense the man’s focused here.
Rangers fans can’t forget that.
It’s also something that’s unlikely to change unless the one job that the Scouser could not turn down becomes available.
