As Rangers stretched their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to 13 points over the weekend it has left Celtic and their supporters in disarray this season.

Rangers’ rampant form has turned the screw on Celtic who have capitulated in the early part of the campaign, exiting Europe, crashing out the League Cup and falling behind in the title race.

The Parkhead club needs to turn things around quickly if they’re to have any chance of salvaging their season and naturally, the Rangers support have been revelling in all those tears.

Protests aplenty have now been backed up by collective banner hanging around the fences which have been erected around Parkhead to prevent angry supporters attacking the stadium and team.

Aptly named The Banner Years by the Ibrox faithful, the meltdown has been so monumental even Rangers supporters have struggled to comprehend it.

The Ibrox club’s fans have been reacting to a new video doing the rounds which shows banners hung around the fences of Parkhead.

Here’s some of the highlights from Twitter as Rangers fans continue to lap up the fall-out from Celtic Park with the Rangers steam-train rolling on:

Rangers must keep focused as they stretch out what is effectively a seven-point advantage against out rivals ahead of a tough December and January run.

But for anyone asking Rangers fans to cool it on the overindulging in their meltdown – here’s why we’ve absolutely earned the right to enjoy it.
