There’s been some confusion at Celtic Park as the club’s Rangers-baiting, Sevcopathic marketing campaign appeared to be undone by one of their own tweets.
As the Gers romped to 55 and halted 10IAR in its tracks Celtic’s media team have been reduced to the motto “one club since 1888” to appeal to the inner Sevconut inside Celtic fans everywhere.

But as the Parkhead club talked up an Old Firm hat-trick scored by ex-player Harry Hood the mask slipped and they appeared to dismantle their own concept regarding the “new club” at Ibrox.
Celtic and their fans loving claiming there is no Old Firm and in one of the saltiest elements of the rival’s modern history insist on calling the game the Glasgow Derby.
That’s despite the match between Rangers and Queens Park being called the same thing.
But this apparently is only relevant post-2012 in the years since Rangers’ financial collapse and now resurgence at Ibrox.
However, the Twitter admin at Parkhead appeared to completely disregard these very stringent rules as it claimed Hood’s hattrick was the last Celtic trio against Rangers for 43 years until Moussa Dembele repeated the feat in 2019.
Effectively, this suggests that Rangers are the same club and pretty much undermines their support and their official messaging.
This naturally has Rangers fans in stitches as they called out Celtic’s lack of consistency even when it comes to the Sevcomania inside Parkhead:

Rangers fans have had plenty to laugh about this season when it comes to Celtic and the Parkhead club are the gift that keeps on giving.
This week the title comments of ex-Celtic boss Neil Lennon resurfaced and Gers fans should love how remarkably arrogant they are in hindsight.
