Arrogant comments from ex-Celtic boss Neil Lennon have resurfaced this week and they’re bound to raise a smile in Rangers circles.

The cocky Parkhead gaffer was so certain that his club would get 10IAR – much like their support – that he spent time boasting about a potential 15IAR back in August 2019.

Obviously, this looks particularly foolish now, much like those joyous here we go 10IAR videos doing the rounds, and Lennon finds himself on the scrapheap.

The indulgent Celtic boss was speaking via the Times after the Parkhead side had secured their 8th title in a row and were preparing for their 8.75th.

The comments resurfaced via Mark Dingwall, the editor of the Follow, Follow fanzine, and you can view the entire article HERE.

“Everyone is waiting for the run to end but we need to stay strong,” said Lennon.

“It’s Groundhog year – we’re now up to eight but I’d like to get to 12, 13, 14 because I’m greedy.

“In fact, let’s make it to 15 – we’re halfway there!”

Oh Neil, how sweet this sounds now.

This pretty much sums up the immense arrogance which flowed out of Celtic Park for a decade but which now has them counting the cost of Rangers’ resurgence.

Manager-less and miles behind, the tables haven’t just turned in Scotland but they’ve flipped and if anyone is going to get 15IAR, they’ll be wearing blue strips.

Rangers fans were collectively gutted to see the Celtic boss go after Lenny overseen the biggest regression at Parkhead in a generation.
