Rangers might’ve edged out a 2-1 victory over Dundee United at Tannadice but things weren’t compeltely rosy regarding Alfredo Morelos on the final whistle.
The Ibrox striker had a bit of a stinker in front of goal up north and toiled once again as a run of three goals in 12 Scottish Premiership games has some fans worried about the Colombian’s lack of form.
Steven Gerrard said after the game that he believed the forward would play his way back into form but things are just not happening in front of goal for Morelos at the moment.
Not only that, but early in the first half we saw a return of the petulance which defined so much of the 24-year-old’s career.
Morelos could’ve walked for a cheeky late forearm on Dundee United defender Mark Connolly and in a season of potentially fine margins this could’ve been crucial.
The striker was shown a yellow card and Steven Gerrard was determined to move on from the incident after the match.
But with plenty of supporters bemoaning the striker on Twitter, some Rangers fans have been leaping to our once talismanic forward’s defence.
Morelos has been a huge player for Rangers over the last few seasons and many of the club’s supporters are inclined to give their backing to the player rather than slate him.
