Rangers managed to edge out a tough and hard-fought 2-1 victory over Dundee United at Tannadice with the game’s stand-out moment being a stunning James Tavernier free-kick.
From around 30 yards out, the Ibrox skipper unstoppably bent a stunning dead-ball into the top corner of Benjamin Siegrist’s net to crack a stubborn Dundee United defence open.
The Arabs would rescue a way back into the match via a neat Liam Smith finish from a far post cross but Tavernier would turn assister to bend another dead-ball onto the head of Connor Goldson.
The big centre-half is becoming a very powerful threat from dead-balls and continued a fine run of goalscoring and heading form.
But it was Tavernier’s free kick which rendered supporters stunned as they watched on from home, the Rangers captain scoring his 17th goal of an incredible season.
There is nothing Tav can’t do at the moment as his immense form continued into a tough tie at Tannadice.
