There’s been some amount of rubbish spoken in the aftermath of Rangers’ title win but amongst the most ridiculous is the suggestion the Gers could’ve stopped neds fighting in Glasgow City Centre by sending a couple more tweets.
As some have licked their wounds in the aftermath of the Gers’ unbeaten season the club has taken a rollicking off the usual suspects as if it is Rangers’ job to maintain law and order.
Gers fans – many originally annoyed at the unfair reaction in the press – are now climbing down and having a bit of fun with things as the reality of 55 settles in around Scotland.
They can make up lies about our players, they can ask far too much of our football club, they can attack the core of our support – but they can’t take this title off us. And that’s what kills them.
So given the context of the last few days, you’ll forgive me for making light of the Luton Airport brawl which took place this week.
Three passengers wound up in the hospital and 17 people were arrested as travellers clashed in the London airport after travel opened back up this week.
Eleven people have been charged [BBC] and the nasty scenes were caught on camera before being uploaded to Twitter.

Rangers supporters certainly enjoyed the weekend but the club’s fans have not enjoyed being subjected to unfair criticism from plenty of quarters in the aftermath.
A leading SNP politician came in for considerable criticism from supporters for his role in the aggressive response to the weekend’s title celebrations.
