Rangers fans have been getting plenty of entertainment from the across the city and the Celtic fall-out from the trip to Dubai, with the hilarity continuing after the appearance of the club’s captain.

Scott Brown faced the media ahead of the Parkhead club’s trip to Livingston and just a few fays after manager Neil Lennon had rocked the nation’s game with an explosive press conference following the ill-fated trip.

Lennon took aim at everyone from the media to the government and claimed that Celtic were the victims of “bullying” after their failed Dubai adventure.

With lasers fully set to deflect, out came Brown to back up the Celtic manager despite chief executive Peter Lawwell giving off a very different impression just a few days previously.

“We all back the gaffer. What he said was right, as far as I’m concerned,” said Brown [Daily Record].

“I don’t want to get too involved in the politics and stuff, that’s for the gaffer and chief executive.

“But for us players it’s about doing our talking on the park and producing results for the manager.

“We need to stick together, that’s the big one. We need to be with the manager and all on the same page.”

But there is one area where Celtic captain Scott Brown does appear to disagree with his manager – the title race.

Lennon all but conceded the title to Rangers by admitting it “might be beyond” Celtic but when asked about their ill-fated 10IAR hopes Brown said “I don’t see why not”.

“We still believe that we are a fantastic team but we need to make sure we keep showing it in games,” said Brown [STV].

“We know that we can keep winning games and that’s what we have to do to try and put the pressure on our rivals.

“I don’t see why not [win 10IAR]. We believe it is [possible] but we need to make sure we win every game and it starts tomorrow.”

Rangers fans have found the entire thing pretty amusing as Dubai-gate rumbles on for another week and Celtic continue to meltdown amid Rangers’ table-topping form:

Rangers fans have had plenty to keep them entertained between Gers matches as of late as Celtic crack under the pressure of the title race.

The Ibrox supporters were revelling in the meltdown of one of the Parkhead club’s most prominent fans as he made up a patently false claim about Rangers’ 9IAR title haul.
