Rangers fans have hijacked a tweet sent by Hollywood superstar Leonardo DiCaprio after he inadvertently mentioned the Ibrox club’s name.
However, DiCaprio was referring to Rangers who protect the world’s wildlife as he appealed for fans to support the Wildlife Rangers Challenge.
The original Tweet sent by the famous actor – who has played starring roles in Titanic, Wolf of Wall Street, Django Unchained and the Departed to name but a few of his films – reads:
“Rangers protect 30% of the Earth. But they need our help. 24 renowned photographers are helping through the Wildlife Ranger Challenge. Purchase one of their photos & 100% of the proceeds will support rangers on the ground: artsy.net/rangers #ArtForRangers”

A noble cause but Rangers fans very quickly jumped on the comment that “Rangers protect 30% of the Earth” and hijacked the famous actor’s tweet.
Commenting on Twitter, here are some of the highlights sent by Rangers fans as they saluted the Hollywood superstar for inadvertently backing the bears:

It’s not the first time in recent weeks that Rangers fans have been gaining notoriety for their campaigning either.
Ibrox fans have adopted an 80s classic as a club anthem with supporters determined to the get the track to Christmas Number One this year.
