Rangers fans excited by latest glimpses of promising Ibrox talent

Rangers fans have praised Scott Wright following his eye-catching display in Wednesday night’s 1-1 Premiership draw with St Johnstone.

The much-changed Gers weren’t at their best in Perth with a tweak to the system not quite paying off for Steven Gerrard.

However, there were still a few players who did themselves no harm, one of whom was Wright.

The 23-year-old was clearly eager to impress on his first Premiership start for the club and he showed glimpses of real quality during his 69-minute appearance.

He took his goal extremely well, cutting in from the left before finding the far corner from the edge of the area, while he worked hard both in and out of possession.

“I’m delighted to get a goal, it’s something I know I need to add to my game,” Wright told RangersTV. “Goals and assists are such an important part of the game now, so it’s something I’ve been working on and I was delighted to see it go in. It’s just unfortunate that it couldn’t be the winner.”
