Rangers fans have reacted after footage of James Tavernier and Alfredo Morelos embracing on the pitch following Wednesday night’s win over Livingston emerged on social media.

The Gers were made to work hard for the three points in West Lothian but Morelos eventually delivered the goods in the 87th minute, tapping home from close range after Max Stryjek had parried Steven Davis’ shot.

The win took Steven Gerrard’s side a step closer to the Premiership title and Morelos was mobbed by his teammates after the final whistle.

Amongst those keen to congratulate the Colombia international was skipper James Tavernier.

The right-back is currently out with a knee injury but he hurried to the centre circle to embrace El Bufalo.

The duo have been through a lot together in Rangers colours over the past few seasons, and it’s clear how much it means to them both that success is finally coming.
