Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos took centre stage once again as he scored and was sent off as the Gers beat Motherwell 2-0 at Fir Park.
The Colombian striker was in the thick of the action throughout the match and was denied several times by Motherwell goalkeeper Mark Gillespie in the first and second halves.
But after picking up a yellow for a late challenge in the second half, a frustrated Morelos finally got his goal. The aftermath saw him sent off for the first time for Rangers this season.
After turning and forcing the ball into the back of the net with his left, Morelos turned to celebrate in front of the Motherwell fans.
Going by the letter of the law, the referee was well within his rights to yellow card Morelos.

But given the number of times other players do this – including infamously Scott Brown against Rangers in March – why has the Colombian fell foul of the referee?
Some Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to express their anger over the decision from referee Don Robertson.

Morelos got his 27th goal of an incredible season and because of the red card, he’ll miss the club’s trip to Hibs on Friday night.
Whilst Rangers managed to get the result over the line, some fans were bemused pre-match as to how one player in particular didn’t make the starting lineup.
