Rangers supporters have reacted on social media after the details of November’s Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Hibernian were confirmed.
The Gers sealed their spot in the final four of the competition last week with a 2-0 quarter-final win over Livingston, having thrashed Dunfermline Athletic 5-0 in their first assignment back in August.
With Steven Gerrard’s side scoring seven goals and not yet conceding in the competition, they could scarcely have made a better start.
However, Gerrard is still yet to deliver a domestic cup win as manager and he knows that early promise is no longer enough.
When the draw was made last week, it was asserted that the tie would take place on the weekend of 20/21 November but it was still unclear whether the Gers would get the Saturday or Sunday slot.
However, on Tuesday evening, the club issued an update, confirming that the match would take place on Sunday 21st and kick off at 4pm.
The news hasn’t gone down well with the fanbase, with many supporters complaining that for those travelling from outside of Glasgow, a fixture so late in the weekend presents a lot of problems.
Here’s a selection of reactions from Twitter:
Knew we’d be the Sunday, just knew it.
