Rangers fans delighted at prospect of Walter Smith 150th anniversary appearance

Rangers fans everywhere are collectively delighted to hear the news that former manager and club legend Walter Smith has planned an upcoming public appearance.

The Ibrox icon won 21 trophies at the club and for many is Mr Rangers with fans delighted at the news that Walter will be appearing at a special Manager’s Evening next March.

Tickets for this special event – hosted by 5 Stars Ltd – will be like gold dust as former managers Alex McLeish, Dick Advocaat and Graeme Souness join Walter, 73, in Glasgow as part of the club’s 150th anniversary celebrations.

But it’s Smith’s planned appearance which has fans everywhere smiling following the news the ex-Gers gaffer had undergone an operation in March this year and was in hospital.

This event will be taking place almost a year on and there isn’t a bluenose anywhere who’s not delighted to hear that Walter has this in the pipeline following what must’ve been a difficult year.

Every Rangers fan on planet Earth will be delighted to hear that Walter is scheduled to attend the event and this is some decidedly good news for supporters and the club.

It might also mean that Walter Smith can finally get that picture with the Scottish Premiership trophy alongside current Rangers boss Steven Gerrard.

Rangers fans adored the Ibrox Gaffer’s comments regarding Smith and 55 after the club picked up their long-awaited first title in a decade.
