Rangers fans have responded to a video posted on Instagram by Steven Gerrard on Friday that celebrates the Gers’ remarkable 2020/21 season.

The manager and his players, at least those not away on international duty, are currently having a well-earned rest following their unbeaten, title-winning campaign.

Yet, Gerrard himself said recently that the league win will feel good for a long time [Herald] and it’s clear that it’s still very much on his mind.

On Friday afternoon, he posted a 3 minute and 19 second video on Instagram that features all of the best and most important goals scored by the Gers in domestic and European competition across the recently completed season and he simply captioned it ’55’ with a star eyes emoji.

The well-made piece features memorable moments such as Connor Goldson’s brace at Celtic Park, James Tavernier’s long-range free-kick at Dundee United, Kemar Roofe’s wondergoal against Standard Liege and all four of the goals from the late-season hammering of Celtic at Ibrox.

Some world-class Allan McGregor saves have also been thrown in for good measure.

The video provides a brilliant summary of a season that – domestic cup failings aside – was beyond the expectations of even Gerrard’s biggest backers.

Unsurprisingly, supporters loved the content and the Gers boss’s post had racked up close to 20k likes by the time of writing.
