Many Rangers fans have levelled the same big criticism at forward Fashion Sakala following Thursday evening’s Europa League defeat to Sparta Prague.
Sakala was surprisingly given the nod in the Czech capital ahead of Alfredo Morelos and although he looked sharp in the opening stages, he ultimately failed to take his opportunity in the side.

The Zambia international showed flashes of promise but wasn’t able to complete dangerous runs with a quality final pass or finish.
Most concerningly for Rangers fans, he was caught offside on a number of occasions, which has been a persistent problem since his move from KV Oostende in the summer.
The 24-year-old saw a goal ruled out after he’d poked home from close range because he’d been offside from Leon Balogun’s initial header, while there was also excitement about a late chance before it became clear that he’d once again failed to stay in line with the last defender.

Particularly after his final offence of the night, plenty of fans took to social media to highlight the issue.
Here’s a selection of reactions from Twitter:
Sakala is talented, comes across very well and is clearly eager to impress, but until he improves in this area, it’s hard to see him being a regular starter for Rangers.
In other news, Steven Gerrard has provided an injury update on Juninho Bacuna.
