Rangers fans have adopted classic Oasis song She’s Electric in homage to Brazilian striker Danilo following his late winner against Hearts.
The summer signing from Feyenoord was the hero at Ibrox this weekend as Danilo capped a late comeback against the Jambos with a back post winner.
Donning a mask after suffering a fractured cheekbone in the early-season win over St Johnstone, Danilo has already put himself on the line for Rangers and now fans are showing their appreciation with a song.
Adopting Oasis classics She’s Electric – released in 1995 as part of iconic album What’s the Story Morning Glory? – Rangers fans have paid tribute to Danilo the only way they know how.
Here’s the lyrics:
“He’s Brazilian, he only cost £6m, and we think he’s bloody brilliant, he’s Danilo.”
The chant has been getting an outing at grounds up and down the country and could be heard being bellowed from the Ibrox stands following the win over Hearts.
Rangers fans belt out Oasis song in homage to Danilo
Rangers fans certainly need a hero and with the masked man coming to the club’s rescue, Danilo now has his own theme song.
Whilst it won’t win any marks for being the most inventive chant in the world, the tune is relentlessly catchy and just try find yourself not singing it if Danilo continues to leave an impression.
The striker cost a reported £5.6m when he signed from Feyenoord in the summer but Rangers fans have seen Danilo’s start to the club disrupted by injury.

Couple that with reported £8m duo Cyriel Dessers and Sam Lammers currently on track to go down as an expensive pair of Ibrox flops and suddenly expectations are rising on the Brazilian.
Incoming Rangers manager Philippe Clement is clear that Danilo still has room to improve but something tells us the win over Hearts won’t be the last time you hear the striker’s song sounding out around Glasgow.
The striker has also been heaping praise on one unsung hero in his recovery from injury.
