As Rangers’ transfer window rolls to a close there still appears to be Ryan Kent, Fashion Sakala and Ianis Hagi sized holes in the Ibrox squad.
The Gers have seen several of the club’s most experienced stars leave in the summer with Michael Beale adding nine names to replace them as things stand.
But of all the club’s summer singings only goalkeeper Jack Butland has convinced supporters with the rest yet to do enough to endear themselves to the Ibrox faithful.
Splurging the guts of £13m on Cyriel Dessers, Danilo de Pereira and Sam Lammers was a risking move by Michael Beale and so far all three have struggled to find form in Glasgow.
Abdallah Sima, signed on loan for the season from Brighton, completes an attacking quintet which is supposed to bolster the club’s options in attack.
Out have went Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Antonio Colak and Malik Tillman, with Rangers’ incoming quartet supposed to be enough to replace the influence of all four in this transfer window.

Rangers yet to replace trio in transfer window?
Michael Beale claimed only a few weeks ago that Rangers are yet to replace the influence of Ryan Kent, who has moved to Fenerbahce.
Given the club paid £7m to sign the winger from Liverpool in 2019 it was always going to be a tall order and Rabbi Matondo has shown potential in the position ever since.
But it’s not just Ryan Kent who Rangers have prepared to replace with serious fears over the suitability of this squad to go the distance this season.
Michael Beale admitted he was “counting” on Fashion Sakala – who moves for £4m to Saudi Arabia – and so far the club is yet to find an attacking alternative.

Rangers have also lost £3m midfielder Ianis Hagi – another which appears unplanned – on loan to La Liga side Alaves as the Romanian looks for regular gametime.
That’s a combined £14m of talent which has yet to be replaced by the Rangers recruitment team and time will tell if we’re leaving ourselves short in the transfer window.
