As a number of Rangers first-teamers went out on international duty, Ibrox supporters have been praying that the club’s best players return injury-free.
The Gers have been plagued by injury issues for the best part of three years and are still waiting on the fitness of several big-money first-teamers who’re laid up at Ibrox.
But as Rangers fans wait on the likes of Rabbi Matondo, Danilo, Oscar Cortes, Ridvan Yilmaz, Tom Lawrence and Dujon Sterling to start making an impact, two international stars have just given Philippe Clement an even bigger injury headache.

Neraysho Kasanwirjo leaves Dutch U21s in tears
Rangers fans were devastated to see images of Netherlands U21 defender Neraysho Kasanwirjo go off injured against England.
The 22-year-old Feyenoord loanee has shown flashes of what he can bring to the Rangers team and had begun to settle into life at Ibrox.
But despite those impressive moments in a Rangers jersey, it’s in the Oranje of the Netherlands where the defender has been sorely impacted.
Neraysho Kasanwirjo left the pitch in tears after falling painfully on his knee in an injury which Rangers fans hope will hope is not as serious as it looks.
Kasanwirjo had been subbed onto the pitch in the 13th minute before the incident in the second half against the England U21s.
Going down clutching his knee after an innocuous challenge in the box, Rangers fans are left nervously awaiting an update on the situation.
Ross McCausland a Rangers injury worry
That potentially damaging injury to Neraysho Kasanwirjo is also supplemented with another Rangers injury blow from the international break.
Northern Ireland sent 21-year-old winger Ross McCausland home from international duty early due to a foot injury which was picked up by the Ulstermen’s camp.
It meant Ross McCausland played no part in Northern Ireland’s final UEFA Nations League games against Belarus and Luxembourg, which ended 2-0 and 2-2 respectively.
Nothern Ireland manager Michael O’Neill confirmed the injury last week with Sao Paolo loanee Jamal Lewis also being sent home early.
“We have two that will miss out, Ross McCausland came into camp with a foot injury, and we felt the best thing was to send him back to his club,” NI boss Michael O’Neill told BBC Sport NI.
“Jamal Lewis came in with an ankle issue and he has left the camp as well, so we have a 25-man squad and we have more than enough to get through the two games.”
