Rangers are interested in signing Tottenham starlet Dilan Markanday but face competition from Celtic and EFL Championship clubs, according to the Evening Standard.
Markanday is a young winger who made his Spurs first-team debut in a Europa Conference League clash against Vitesse in October.

He’s also been starring for Tottenham U23s this season, racking up 11 goals and four assists from just 12 appearances in the Premier League 2.
The 20-year-old’s current deal is up in the summer and the Evening Standard asserts that Spurs want him to sign an extension before sending him out on loan, although a permanent exit ‘cannot be ruled out’.
It’s claimed that Rangers are keen but a number of other clubs are also credited with interest including Celtic, Bournemouth, West Brom and QPR.

Rangers and Celtic keen on Tottenham starlet
We’re now a month away from the January transfer window folks, so expect the rumours to start coming thick and fast.
Markanday is capable of playing on either flank or through the middle and his numbers so far this season are outstanding.
It would be a surprise if Spurs didn’t try everything they could to tie such a talented homegrown attacker down to a long-term deal, so perhaps a loan deal is more realistic than a permanent transfer.
There are no loan players in the current first-team squad at Ibrox but Rangers have dipped into that market in the past, and while his lack of senior experience would be a concern, perhaps Markanday would be a cost-effective addition to GvB’s attacking resources.
