The Ryan Kent situation might be threatening to rumble on for the entire summer – as it always did – but there’s a similar situation at Ibrox which will help Rangers’ Steven Gerrard sympathise with Liverpool’s Jurgen Klopp.
As much as the Liverpool boss wants to get a fee for Ryan Kent [BBC Sport], it might not be possible.
And not just because the asking price could be anywhere up to £12m.

Similarly to Rangers’ ongoing issue with Eros Grezda, a loan might be the only way to both get the player off the wage bill, but also put him in the shop window.
Rangers’ Albanian winger Grezda was reportedly on the verge of sealing a £1.75m switch to Ligue 1 side Brest [
Many Rangers fans, amazed the club had managed to recoup the reported £2m spent on the player last summer, would’ve been delighted.
But Steven Gerrard rubbished the claims saying the club is yet to receive any “satisfactory” bids for the player.
The only bids Rangers have received for Grezda are loan bids which Rangers clearly don’t want. The club appear to want the Albanian international to move on.
But should we reach the end of the transfer window without a satisfactory bid, the player will be much better served on loan than in the club’s reserves.

Not only will his value depreciate if he isn’t playing, but the player’s own development as a footballer will take a hit.
It’s the exact same dilemma Liverpool face with Anfield winger Ryan Kent.
