The Rangers transfer saga concerning Liverpool winger Ryan Kent has rumbled on all summer and going by the past couple of days, it shows no signs of slowing.
Rangers have never made any secret of their admiration for the player and their desire to take him back to Glasgow.
Steven Gerrard said he’d wait until the final second of the transfer window to do so.
But after Liverpool were unceremoniously dispatched 3-0 by Napoli in a pre-season friendly, a rather frosty Jurgen Klopp appeared to rule out a loan move for the player.
The inference here is that Rangers cannot afford to buy the player permanently, with some reports claiming Liverpool want £12m for the player.
“The time is over, I think, for loans, because of his age,” said Klopp.
“The players need to find a place where they can settle. A loan is not an option.”

He “thinks” the time is over for a loan. It very much seems like Jurgen Klopp was putting Kent in the shop window with Liverpool desperate to recoup something for the talented winger.
Especially with the likes of Leeds United reportedly still interested [

Kent, of course, responded by deleting any links to the Anfield club on his Instagram account and putting up an iconic “slave” image of Prince in the process.
But should they be unable to shift Kent, why would Liverpool let his value depreciate in the reserves over the course of next season?
It seems incredibly unlikely. It’s also a notion that’s been backed up by Kent’s representatives, who’ve reportedly claimed the Reds may have to loan him out this season [

Whatever the case, the transfer talk surrounding Ryan Kent is certainly not over.
This particular transfer saga threatens to rumble on for a little while yet.
