Rangers defender Matt Polster has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with MLS club New England Revolution, according to the Daily Record.
The report claims Steven Gerrard wanted to keep the one-time American international at Ibrox but couldn’t guarantee the player first-team football.
The deal is said to be worth £350k to Rangers with Polster also having the option of another year in Boston.

The move comes after reports last week revealed Polster was in talks over a return to the US after a brief stint in Glasgow [Glasgow Times].
Polster, 27, made only 10 appearances in a Rangers shirt including a 3-1 debut victory at Tynecastle last April.
Six of those appearances came in the Scottish Premiership.
Polster struggled to break through into the Rangers side ahead of club captain James Tavernier and was always up against it competing against the influential Englishman.
But that doesn’t mean that Rangers fans didn’t appreciate the effort Polster put in whilst wearing a Rangers shirt or his passion for the club off the pitch.

The likable American will be remembered fondly by the Rangers support for how quickly he took to the Ibrox club, with his family famously donning Gers strips during a visit to Scotland.
Wife and ESPN broadcaster Brittany Held will also be remembered by Gers fans after she also passionately took to the Gers in a spate of videos and social media posts.
