Reports suggest Rangers have been dealt another blow in the pursuit of Liverpool loanee Ryan Kent.
The Anfield club is set to demand £12m for the signature of the player, at least according to the Express.

Any demands this high would surely rule the Ibrox club out of the running. Rangers have only spent £12m once in their history – for Tore Andre Flo in the year 2000.
The news comes just a day after Steven Gerrard revealed Rangers have made their position on Ryan Kent very clear.

Rangers want the player. His representatives know, Liverpool knows and most importantly, Ryan Kent knows.
This season has seen the player come on leaps and bounds and helped reignite a stagnating career. Still only 22, Kent had previously struggled to find a rhythm during loan moves to Coventry, Barnsley, Freiburg and Bristol City.
But at Ibrox, the player appears to have found a stage on which he relishes playing. The winger has always been open to the possibility of a longer term stay in Glasgow. He spoke openly about how much he’s loving his time at the club [originally Evening Times].

But should Liverpool demand such a hefty price for the player, then Rangers will have no choice but to give up their pursuit of the former England U20 international.
Could he wind up plying his trade with Premier League strugglers Fulham instead?
