Rangers are competing with Premier League West Ham for the signature of Sheffield United midfielder John Lundstram – but both will have to wait till January to make a move.
The Sun [06/09/20, p.61] are reporting that Steven Gerrard’s side and David Moyes’ team have registered an interest in the player but the 26-year-old midfielder wants to see out his contract at the Blades.

With a year to run on his current deal Lundstram will be available on a pre-contract come January and the Bears and the Hammers are preparing to lock horns for his signature.
That story follows on from claims from reputable journalist Alan Nixon that Rangers are holding back on splashing out on a player they can secure on a free next season.
Rangers were first linked to Lundstram by the Athletic as Steven Gerrard looks to bolster his midfield this season.
A box-to-box midfielder who is a powerful runner with an eye for goal, Lundstram fits the profile of the kind of player Rangers are looking to add to their squad in this transfer window.
Lundstram impressed for Sheffield United last season, scoring five goals and laying on three assists in 26 starts.

The Blades also managed an impressive 9th place finish after earning promotion to the English Premier League only the season before last.
Midfielder Lundstram also scored the opening goal in a 2-2 friendly draw with Championship Preston over the weekend.
