Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has assured fans that he hears their complaints and fears amid the Ibrox side’s woeful run of form.

No-one has been safe from the criticism of the Rangers fans as the club’s support demand more from an underperforming team who won’t be at Ibrox much longer if things don’t change.

Whilst playing in front of the fans is certainly not easy when things are going wrong, if the players can’t handle it then they don’t deserve the praise when it goes right.

Steven Gerrard too has been subjected to much criticism in the wake of the dispiriting defeat to Hamilton with many fans now unconvinced this management team and the squad can take us forward.

The club’s players and manager have got a huge amount of making up to do to win fans back over and Steven Gerrard says he understands the frustration of the support.

“With all due respect to Hamilton, that is not an acceptable result for this football club,” said Gerrard [Rangers].

“I’m again going to take responsibility for that, I hear the fans and I feel them.

“No one is hurting more than myself and the players inside the dressing room.

“So we certainly respect the reaction, and we’ll do everything we can to make them feel better as quick as we can

“That’s what we’ve got to do. That’s why it’s about actions now rather than words.

“But we definitely hear and feel the fans.”

Whilst his all sounds very good, currently, it stands as a set of soundbites with nothing serious to back it up.

The manager must find a way to make it work with these players otherwise Rangers fans will not stand for these results much longer.

Yes – it is now about actions rather than words.

The Liverpool legend has got to start mending his very fractured aura with positive domestic results before it is too late.
