Rangers fans are fuming as the club fell to yet another defeat, stumbling 1-0 to bottom of the table Hamilton Accies at Ibrox.
The club’s support hasn’t hesitated to direct their ire at the team and the defeat is made considerably worse by the fact Celtic dropped points at Livingston.
Incredibly, our Old Firm rivals still managed to increase their lead despite the slip, to add insult to injury for the club’s supporters.
Steven Gerrard has come out feeling and looking rather despondent in the wake of the result, saying that his side are in a “rut” and incredibly low on confidence.
But for many Rangers fans, Gerrard’s comments amid this truly incredibly domestic collapse in 2020 are not good enough.
“Again, another mistake has cost us,” said Gerrard [RangersTV].
“There was an opportunity tonight. Celtic have blinked with one eye but we’ve blinked with two, which is extremely disappointing.
“I didn’t think I could be more disappointed than I was after Hearts – but here I am, even more disappointed than I was a few days ago.
“We’ve got a lot to do – a big, big lot.

“Myself and my staff are flat because we are doing everything we can. We are trying to change formations and personnel, doing different things in training to try and lift and put confidence into them.
“I have a dressing room that’s shot of confidence. We have played ourselves into a rut and I’ve got a real tough, tough job to pick that up and improve it from here.”
Supporters are beginning to grow incredibly tired of these excuses in post-match interviews and the Rangers boss has come under criticism for the comments.
Here’s how Rangers fans reacted to what Gerrard had to say on Twitter:

There’s a growing feeling of hopelessness amongst the Ibrox support, with many Rangers fans finding this Hamilton result particularly hard to take.
If the players are shot of confidence, then spare a thought for the supporters. Where the hell do we go from here?
