Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has admitted that his side went to Feyenoord with the full intention of qualifying for the Europa League last 32 then and there.
Rangers were left bitterly disappointed after coming from behind to go 2-1 up in de Kuip thanks to an Alfredo Morelos headed double.
But Luis Sinisterra pegged the Ibrox side back to 2-2 to take Group G to the final game in a disappointing blow for Gerrard’s side.
“What we’ve got to do know is go and give ourselves the next opportunity to go and be successful,” said Gerrard [Rangers].
“I’m here obviously to focus on tomorrow’s game and this competition and the players have been outstanding up until this point.
“We went to Feyenoord in the last game to try get it done there and then, really tough game, but again the players stood up to the challenge and got a real positive result.
“We would’ve always took this situation when the journey started against St. Joseph’s.
“The players are doing everything they can to bring success back as quick as they can.”
The fact Rangers couldn’t get the three points in Holland is cushioned by the fact that Gerrard’s side now top their group and a point would be enough to see them qualify.

A win would be enough to guarantee that the Ibrox side top a four-team group in Europe for the first time in their history.
But Rangers will have to do it without both Steven Davis and Filip Helander, who’ve been officially ruled out of the tie with Young Boys.
