Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has once again hinted that Jordan Jones and George Edmundson will have roles to play at Ibrox following the completion of their SFA bans [RangersTV].
The pair were suspended by the Gers in November after attending a party and were subsequently handed seven-match bans by the authorities.

Rangers said the severity of their punishments showed “the seriousness with which Covid protocol breaches will be dealt with” [Rangers.co.uk] and both players received heavy criticism from supporters, some of whom suggested their contracts should be ripped up.
However, Gerrard said last month that he had accepted heartfelt apologies from both players and was planning on reintegrating them into the group [RangersTV].
Jones and Edmundson both recently featured in a high-scoring B team fixture against Hibernian and speaking after Thursday night’s win over Lech Poznan, their manager hinted that they will be immediately considered for selection once their bans have been served.
“This is the best I’ve felt in terms of our squad strength,” he said [RangersTV]. “I’ve got confidence in the 24 to 25 players that we have got.”
“If you take into consideration that we left Roofe and Davis at home for this one while, obviously, Jermain Defoe has got a different plan.
“We’re about to welcome back Edmundson and Jordan Jones in a couple of weeks, too, so I’m super confident in the squad.”

Some fans may not agree with it, but it now looks almost certain that the centre-back and the winger do have futures at the club and they will both be eligible again for the trip to St Mirren in the Premiership on 30 December.
Across the opening months of the season, Jones made four appearances, netting in a 5-1 win over Motherwell in September, while Edmundson made just two, scoring an own goal in that win at Fir Park.
