Despite reported transfer interest, Rangers star Alfredo Morelos is going nowhere in January.
At least according to his manager Steven Gerrard [BT Sport].
The Gers boss was emphatic in his response to questions about Alfie’s future, saying he’s 100% certain that Rangers’ resident Colombian will still be lighting up Ibrox come February 1st.

But whilst Rangers fans can be quietly confident that Alfredo Morelos will be here until at least May next year, what about the end of the season?
More than just bear witness to Alfredo Morelos moving on – that’s if he actually does – how much do Rangers demand for Morelos’ services?
The £20m that Stewart Robertson hinted to last season now seems a little outdated, with Morelos hitting 20 goals by November and playing at a level well beyond his peers.
Gerrard’s comments also make it clear that Rangers are under no pressure to sell Morelos, despite £11.3m losses in the last financial year.
This is a footballer who can go to the top of the game and who wouldn’t look out of place in Europe’s top leagues.
With that in mind, there’s not one single reason why Alfredo Morelos can’t break the Scottish transfer record when he leaves Ibrox.
And no reason why Rangers shouldn’t be demanding that any suitor who wants him does so.

Currently held at £25m courtesy of Arsenal signing Celtic full-back Kieran Tierney, it would be a travesty to see his goals valued less than the talented wing-back.
Morelos is worth so much to Rangers, is still only 23 and will score goals wherever he goes in the coming seasons.
£30m+ could prove a snip.
