Rangers star Alfredo Morelos has battled back from a Covid-19 diagnosis to make the Colombia squad for the upcoming Copa America.
The South American international tournament will be held in Brazil with Colombia facing off against the hosts, Ecuador, Venezuela, and Peru.

Morelos, 24, missed the country’s most recent World Cup Qualifying matches against Peru and Argentina where Los Cafeteros earned two admirable results.
The country warmed up for the tournament by hammering Peru 3-0 and earning a 2-2 draw with Argentina.
Morelos will now compete with the likes of Atalanta pair Duvan Zapata & Luis Muriel, River’s Rafael Santos Borre and Junior’s Miguel Borja for a place in the squad.
Morelos also appears to have been chosen for selection over the likes of Villarreal forward Carlos Bacca and even the striker’s idol, Radamel Falcao, who has no place in the starting XI.
Falcao is the all-time Colombian top scorer (35) but is recovering from surgery after a horror injury in training left the Galatasaray striker needing facial surgery [Mirror].
On top of that, Colombia also appeared to have omitted James Rodriguez from the squad despite the ex-Real Madrid, Bayern and now Everton star being cleared as fit to play.
Real Madrid famously paid £71m to sign the Colombian in the aftermath of the World Cup in 2014, where James won the Golden Boot.
According to Marca, this could come down to issues with international teammates including Wilmar Barrios, Luis Muriel and David Ospina.
Morelos’ Colombia was also set to host the tournament alongside Argentina but the decision was taken to instate Brazil as hosts due to security and Covid-19 fears. Read more here.
Rangers fans can also get excited about the fact that a major broadcaster has secured the rights to the tournament so whilst Euro 2020 is taking place they can also watch Morelos in action.
