Rangers are set to seal a move for Florian Kamberi with reports claiming the striker is travelling to the Hummel Training Centre to seal a deadline day switch from Hibs.
According to the Herald, the two clubs have agreed a deal in principle which will see Kamberi join Rangers until the end of the season.
According to the Edinburgh Evening News, Greg Docherty will head in the opposite direction as he looks to get minutes under his belt.
The move follows Rangers capturing the signature of Romanian youngster Ianis Hagi, who joined the club on loan from Genk.
Rangers are also said to be pursuing the signature of Czech striker Matej Vydra [Glasgow Times] who the club have reportedly moved to secure on loan from Burnley.
When news of the Kamberi move broke, it drew much ire from the Hibs supporters and now it appears they’ll be forced to see the player join the Ibrox club.
Kamberi himself offers a different option for Rangers and it’ll be interesting to see how the striker copes with the pressure of playing in Glasgow.
A regular goalscorer against both sides of the Old Firm for Hibs, the Swiss forward will be determined to make his mark and earn a full-time deal at Ibrox.
Signed from Grasshoppers Zurich in 2018 after an initial loan spell, 24-year-old Kamberi has made 84 appearances for the Easter Road club, scoring 30 goals.
