One of the managers who has been linked with Rangers is Frank Lampard.
Former Crystal Palace owner and talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan is not a fan.
Journalist Simon Phillips has reported on Twitter that former Chelsea and Everton manager Frank Lampard is in talks with Rangers.
Phillips has claimed that Lampard has spoken with Rangers three times already, the latest talks having been held last week.
TEAMtalk has also claimed that Rangers and Lampard are in talks.
Glasgow World has stated that Rangers are looking at Lampard.
Former Palace owner Jordan does not think that the Gers should bring in the Englishman.
Simon Jordan verdict on Rangers managerial candidate Frank Lampard
Jordan told talkSPORT about Lampard and Rangers: “I’m not sure Frank Lampard would be the right fit.
“It’s about someone being able to get hold of Rangers and use all the energy and vitality of that football club and turn it into a positive force.
“What basis would I be looking at Frank Lampard? I don’t think he did a particularly good job towards the end at Chelsea.
“At Derby he didn’t get them to the promised land after having opportunities to take top players into the Championship on loan.

“He goes to Everton, he didn’t have the toolkit.
“He may have kept them up by the skin of his teeth the first time round but when it came on top, Frank Lampard would have got them relegated.
“So is that Rangers stumbling upon a winner? Someone that can galvanise the club because they lucked out once with the [Steven] Gerrard experiment.
“You only put him in the conversation because it’s Lampard the player not Frank Lampard the manager.”
“Come on, now – Lampard is just a figure of people’s imagination!” said Jordan, when it was pointed out to him that he has managed two Premier League clubs already in his career.
“He needs to go away and regroup and become a football manager, rather than have the illusion that because Frank is educated and erudite, doesn’t offend anybody, is balanced and has a legacy of being a wonderful player that somehow that translates in the dugout.”
My view: Rangers should not appoint Frank Lampard
In my opinion, Rangers should not appoint Frank Lampard as their new manager.
This is not to say that Lampard is not a good manager, but Rangers need someone who has done well recently.
Lampard got sacked at Everton and struggled badly during his interim managerial role at Chelsea.
Yes, the former England international midfielder almost guided Derby County to promotion from the Championship to the Premier League and did relatively well in his first spell at Chelsa, but in recent jobs, he has not been a success.
Rangers need a manager who is doing well at the moment or has done well in recent years so that he is ready to ride that wave and bring that positive energy to the Gers.
