At least one Scottish Premiership club wants the league season to be declared null and void if it cannot be restarted due to the coronavirus outbreak, according to the Press Association.
In a story which has been picked up by the likes of the Glasgow Times and BBC Scotland, a source has told the PA that “making the season void is the best of a bad bunch of choices”.
The Scottish league season was suspended indefinitely on Friday as football and sport across Europe is rocked by the outbreak of the coronavirus.

“We don’t see how titles, promotion or relegation can be agreed on any basis of sporting fairness,” claims the source.
“Perhaps prize money can be split on the basis of the current table.
“But the league should be ruled void and we start next season as we commenced this one.”
The comments of the as-of-yet unnamed Scottish club come amid calls from Celtic manager Neil Lennon to award the title to the Parkhead club if the league cannot be resumed.
With Hearts bottom of the Scottish Premiership, the Tynecastle club also faces growing uncertainty that they could be relegated from the top division.
Hearts are said to be readying a legal defence [Edinburgh Evening News] should the SPFL choose to end the season prematurely and award clubs based on their current league standings.

Celtic are currently 13 points above Rangers with the Ibrox club having a game in hand and two Old Firm matches yet to be played.
Hearts are currently four points adrift at the bottom of the Scottish Premiership with eight games remaining.
