Premier League Southampton are reportedly set to sack manager Ralph Hasenhuttl, a man who has strong links to Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson.
The two worked together at St Mary’s and the news comes amid mounting pressure on Giovanni van Bronckhorst at Ibrox after a string of poor results and performances.

The latest was the 2-1 defeat away to St Johnstone and it already has plenty at Ibrox considering who might be the best man to take the club forward heading into the World Cup break.
Ralph Hasenhuttl to be sacked as Rangers pressure mounts
According to the Athletic, one man who may well be looking for work is Austrian coach Ralph Hasenhuttl, who they believe has been sacked by Southampton.
The report is claiming that the Southampton hierarchy have decided to sack the manager ahead of the World Cup break, but it could come sooner with the Saints set to play Liverpool at Anfield next weekend.
This comes after a 4-1 hammering at the hands of Newcastle United leaves the side languishing in 18th in the Premier League with only three Premier League wins in 14 matches.
That means that Ralph Hasenhuttl – who managed RB Leipzig for two years before joining the Saints – could soon be looking for work as his four-year stint on the English south coast prepares to come to an end.
Hasenhuttl has worked with Rangers sporting director Ross Wilson in the past, with the Ibrox chief formerly the director of football at Southampton.
The two were so close in fact that Ralph Hasenhuttl described Wilson’s exit as a “big loss” and claimed he had a “good relationship” with him.
Whilst there is no official link – and heck Ralph Hasenhuttl might want a break from football – the fact the Austrian’s imminent exit is turning heads amongst Rangers fans is indicative of the issues at Ibrox right now.
Meanwhile, one Rangers summer singing is already being linked with an exit.
