Premier League fans laud Rangers legend as part of £90m coverage

Rangers legend Ally McCoist has been earning the acclaim of football fans for his coverage of the Premier League with broadcaster Amazon.

The global e-commerce and streaming service giant reportedly paid the Premier League £90m to screen 20 games over two rounds of mid-winter fixtures for three seasons [Wired].

As part of this season’s matches the broadcaster screened Liverpool’s 4-0 thumping of Premier League rivals Wolves with Super Ally and Clive Tyldesley doing the commentary.

Tyldesley of course is a commentator on Rangers’ home matches for RangersTV this season and has previously earned the acclaim of fans for his professional coverage.

McCoist and Tyldesley’s relaxed, personable, and knowledgeable coverage on Amazon proved hugely popular as a raft of football fans expressed their enjoyment of the commentary.

Supporters took to Twitter to salute the Rangers legend as the Ally McCoist love-in continued even after Liverpool’s thorough victory:

Not bad from Rangers’ all-time greatest goalscorer who has forged a career in the media for decades ever since his playing days ended at Ibrox.

The former Rangers manager remains an immensely popular figure at Ibrox with the response he is getting for his Amazon commentary sure to fill bluenoses with pride.

And now that Clive Tyldesley has a link to Ibrox – we’ll give the legendary English broadcaster his dues too!
