The Ibrox support were convinced it wouldn’t take long for legendary broadcaster Clive Tyldesley to catch the Rangers bug.
The former voice of ITV has been installed as a club commentator for RangersTV this season and his coverage is already beginning to receive praise from the Ibrox legions.
After making comments about Celtic’s dubious claims to a 10IAR charge this season and Rangers’ hunt for 55, the commentator also hasn’t done his reputation any further harm with supporters.

“My personal view for what it’s worth is that stopping 10 in a row is not a motivation,” said Tyldesley [RangersTV].
“Motivation for me is a positive energy it’s what you can achieve not what you can stop or prevent.
“55 should be the magic number for the season, not 10.
“Rangers weren’t even in the Premiership for four of those nine Celtic seasons.”
This is a feeling very much echoed by the Rangers support who have consistently cast doubts on the legitimacy of Celtic’s achievements in the wake of the club’s financial collapse.
Now Rangers have a much firmer footing and very much look a side capable of challenging our biggest rivals for the Scottish Premiership crown.
But as Tyldesley suggests here, this is all about Rangers and not about Celtic.
The Ibrox club must be motivated to win the league title four ourselves as we look to secure our first Scottish Premiership crown since 2011.
Rangers currently top the Scottish Premiership, winning four and drawing one of their opening five fixtures and failing to concede a single goal in the process.
