Rangers-linked attacking midfielder Ryan Gauld has officially signed for Vancouver Whitecaps.
Gauld has been routinely linked to Ibrox throughout his career with the first links appearing in 2018 via the Scottish Sun during the player’s time at Sporting Lisbon.
Vital Rangers then reported in April that the player would consider moving to the Gers.
However, instead of swapping the Primeira Liga for the Premiership, he opted for the MLS.
Gauld has officially left Farense and joined the Whitecaps on a three-year contract and will join up with his new teammates next week.

It was a complicated process due to several factors but as he was our top target, we never gave up.”

Gauld has been linked with a switch to Ibrox on and off for some time and his return of nine goals and seven assists in the Portuguese top-flight last season was impressive.
However, the 25-year-old isn’t needed at Ibrox right now, with several current Gers players very capable of excelling in an attacking midfield role.
Rangers fans have lauded a former Ibrox star following his response to the opening day of Premiership action on Saturday.
