Rangers midfielder Bailey Rice has admitted he’s “delighted” to sign a new deal with the club amid links to the English Premier League.
The Ibrox side announced last week that they had a struck a new deal for the 16-year-old former Motherwell talent, who has been tied down at Rangers until 2026.
Leading transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed that Rangers had held off substantial interest from “many clubs” to sign the Bailey Rice deal.
And the midfielder has taken to Instagram to express his delight in signing the new Rangers contract as the boyhood bluenose looks to build on early first-team exposure at Ibrox.
“Delighted to have signed a new contract with the club that I love,” said Bailey Rice. “The hard work continues.”

The Rangers contract for Bailey Rice comes amid high profile links to the English Premier League with the Scotland U19s international highly-rated south of the border.
There were also reports six months ago that it’s not only clubs in the English top flight interested with Spanish giants Real Madrid mentioned alongside clubs in Germany, France and Portugal.
More recently Rangers insider David Edgar of Heart & Hand has been speaking about those Bailey Rice links to the Premier League.
Touching on reportedly historic interest from Manchester City and Newcastle United, the Rangers boss also claims both Aston Villa and West Ham were looking at the player.
“So Bailey Rice had been attracting interest from down south,” said David Edgar on the platform’s Daily Update (13/09/22).

“You might recall before he signed his first professional contract with us that there was talk of Manchester City and Newcastle (United) looking at him.
“I know that (Aston) Villa and West Ham have been looking at him since his contract future has been a little bit up in the air but Rangers have managed to get him signed up.”
Bailey Rice – who joined from the Motherwell academy last summer – has already made his debut for Rangers in a 3-0 win away to Livingston in the Scottish Premiership last season.
