If one player has been missed in the last couple of months more than others for Rangers it has been Abdallah Sima.
The Senegal international went from dreaming of African Cup of Nations glory to missing out helping his adopted club side spark a return to the top of the table under Gers boss Philippe Clement.
The Rangers manager has revealed that, despite only being at Ibrox on a temporary basis, that Abdallah Sima has bought into the club as well as when we might see him back in action.

When will Rangers fans see Abdallah Sima again?
With 15 goals in 32 games, all from open play, it doesn’t take a genius to work out that we could have done with the 22-year old in the squad at the weekend.
It’s not so much that he has the ball carrying skills of someone like Oscar Cortes, whose own injury is a blow, but that he has the uncanny knack of finding himself in great goalscoring positions.
Add that to an ability to find the back of the net from low quality chances and you have a match winner sitting in the stands.
Speaking at an event at the SEC, alongside Rangers legend Graeme Souness and current number one Jack Butland, Clement gave an example of the current unity in the squad:
“This morning Abdallah Sima came into my office. He will be out still several weeks – he’s working on his rehab – and he asked ‘Gaffer, can I come with the team to Lisbon’.”
Sima is supposed to be returning to more practical and sport specfic training on the grass this week which is a positive step in his rehabilitation but the Old Firm derby on the 7th of April could be a possibility with another four weeks of hard work.
We saw against Motherwell just how blunt our attack was with so many key attackers missing and Clement will be hoping to get as many of them back as possible.
Seeing Abdallah Sima back in a Rangers squad will give everyone the type of lift needed at this stage of the season – maybe he should stay in Glasgow rather than trying to blag a free trip to Portugal!
