Nicolas Raskin has emerged as one of Rangers’ few success stories this season but his future at Ibrox remains far from certain.
The 24-year-old has struggled to find consistency at Ibrox ever since a January move to the club in 2023 but this season was the campaign the ex-Standard Liege kid embedded himself in the hearts of fans.
Raskin’s all-action displays at home and abroad have seen Nico break into the Belgium set-up with clubs from across Europe surely monitoring the midfielder’s progress.
But as Nicolas Raskin admits he’ll be there next season if Rangers need him, then the Premier League hopeful is going to have to put his money where his mouth is.

Nicolas Raskin took aim at Nick Walsh and the VAR team following his goal that never was in the 2-2 Scottish Premiership draw with Hibs.
But the Rangers midfielder was also asked to look forward and not back come full time in the game, which proved to be Barry Ferguson’s last match for Rangers.
Raskin was asked about his own future as Rangers brace for a US buyout and he gets ready to enter the final two years of his Ibrox contract.
“I’ve been enjoying myself this season and it’s not so often that you can enjoy yourself at a club,” Raskin told the press at full-time.
“So I’m really happy here, two more seasons in my contract. As long as the club wants me, I’ll be here and we’ll see what happens.”
Raskin has had a particularly impressive end to the season, scoring four goals and laying on six assists in his last eight Scottish Premiership matches.

Nicolas Raskin might be willing to stay at Rangers but as things stand, the midfielder should be moved on in the summer.
That’s because Raskin’s current contract expires in 2027, meaning Rangers must ship the midfielder out of the club now to maximise their earning potential.
Rangers’ much-maligned player trading model has allowed several high-profile players leave the club at the end of their contracts and running down deals is a hallmark of the old regime.
With just two years left on his deal and no renewal in sight, Rangers risk repeating past mistakes by letting a key player run down his contract.
If Raskin truly wants to stay, the answer is simple; sign a new deal or risk being sold to fund the rebuild.
Either way, the Rangers midfielder is set to play an important role in the American revolution at Ibrox.
