Nephew of Paul Gascoigne scores in Rangers Development squad trial

The nephew of Rangers legend Paul Gascoigne pulled on the famous blue jersey and scored as the Gers development squad ran out 3-0 winners over Partick Thistle.

Cameron Gascoigne was taken on trial by Rangers [Daily Record] after the young striker, 18, was reportedly released by Newcastle United.

According to club insider Four Lads Had a Dream, Gascoigne hit the back of the net for the young Gers as he impressed during his trial with the club.

What a story it would be if the nephew of legendary England midfielder Gazza was to join the ranks and make the grade at Ibrox.

Unlike his Uncle, the young Gazza plays as a forward and he has clearly staked his claim for a permanent deal in Glasgow.

Joining the Rangers Development squad wouldn’t exactly be a bad move for the youngster either.

The Rangers Academy continues to go from strength to strength, with the club earning a spot in the Challenge Cup semi-final after defeating English Conference Wrexham 2-0.

The Young Gers, who are the holding champions of the U18s league in Scotland, are also sitting pretty with a 2-0 lead over Slovan Bratislava in the second round of the UEFA Youth League.

Gascoigne would also be following in the footsteps of a club legend in Govan, with Uncle Paul still holding a special place in the hearts of Rangers fans to this very day.
