Neil Warnock raves over Bojan Miovski as he urges Danny Rohl to make decisive Rangers call

Neil Warnock believes that Bojan Miovski can play a decisive role in guiding Rangers to the Scottish Premiership title.

The North Macedonian has been a bit-part player under Danny Rohl, who has Youssef Chermiti and Ryan Naderi ahead of him in the pecking order.

Miovski did score recently for Rangers, as he came on off the bench to find the back of the net in the 4-2 win over Dundee United.

Neil Warnock wants Danny Rohl to give Bojan Miovski more game time

Warnock believes that if Rohl hands Miovski more first-team opportunities at Rangers, the striker will take them.

In his view, he is one of the best forwards that he has worked with and has the goal-scoring instinct that all great strikers have.

The former Aberdeen manager thinks that the 26-year-old is someone who would benefit from a hand on the shoulder rather than tough love.

He has urged Rohl to make him more a part of his first-team plans as he sees Miovski scoring six to eight goals from now until the end of the season.

Warnock said: “If you give Bojan opportunities, he’ll definitely take them. He can definitely finish. He has that instinct about him that all great strikers do.

“I remember him scoring at Ibrox in my first game in charge. It was a great goal. I said after one game up there that he’s one of the best strikers I’d ever worked with and I stand by that.

“He’s definitely one of those ones where you’d get more out of him if you put your arm around him, rather than give him a roasting. But he responded and had a good patch while I was there.

“But for me, I think he’s someone Rangers need to preserve with between now and the end of the season. I mean, the other strikers up there, they don’t bowl you over with their quality, do they? No.

“Compared to the other two Rangers have for, I’d say Bojan gives them the best chance of getting somebody to score the six, seven, eight goals they’ll need to get over the line.”

Danny Rohl has lost just one league game as Rangers manager…

If YOU were to change one thing about his management style for next season, what would it be? 🤔

Why Miovski may get more game time at Rangers in the coming weeks

Ryan Naderi could be out for the season after an injury he sustained in the win against Dundee United.

Rohl has liked to deploy a two-striker system in a 4-2-2-2, so he would surely like to see how Miovski and Chermiti can lead the line together.

It would undoubtedly be an interesting proposition for the game against Falkirk, and even if Naderi is back before the end of the season, there is no reason why the Rangers boss can not experiment with that system.

His strikers have not been clinical since he joined, and if in Miovski, he gets someone who has that composure in front of goal, then there’s every reason to believe that the 26-year-old will feature regularly until the end of the season.
