Aberdeen manager Neil Warnock has questioned the role of the Rangers ball boys in the Ibrox side’s Scottish Premiership victory.
The Gers are celebrating a 2-1 win over their northeast rivals, with Todd Cantwell the matchwinner after goals from Rabbi Matondo and Bojan Miovski.
Heading into the game, the appointment of Neil Warnock at Aberdeen had made big headlines and as he arrived at Ibrox, you might’ve confused him with the Rangers manager.
Turning out in a blue suit with brown brogues, Warnock had backtracked on claims he was a Rangers fan by suggesting his loyalties lie with Greenock Morton before the match.
Neil Warnock cracks wise about Rangers ball boys
Speaking to Sky Sports after the game, Neil Warnock was effusive of his praise on Ibrox and Rangers.
But the wily old manager also had a few things to say about potential time wasting at the end of the game.
Cracking wise about the Rangers ball boys, the Gers were forced to see out the final 10 or so minutes after Dujon Sterling was controversially shown red.
“Crack, if you can’t enjoy that tonight,” said Warnock. “The crowd at Ibrox, the ground was fabulous, the pitch was lovely. It was a fabulous occasion.
“At the end you’ve got the ball boys adding five minutes on, haven’t ya? They’re really tuned, aren’t they? They’re turned-in there.
“Don’t give it them back, make them climb over the wall, who teaches them at Ibrox? Do they have their own teachers?”
Rangers secure monumental Aberdeen win
Over the piece, Rangers were clearly the better side and deserved the three points but it doesn’t mean Philippe Clement’s team didn’t have to earn it.
The Gers’ title challenge continues to roll on with this win a particularly massive one in the grand scheme of the Scottish Premiership title.
Whilst the likes of Todd Cantwell refused to be drawn on the implications of the match, fans and media alike are in agreement that this victory sends a statement.

Neil Warnock meanwhile is tasked with trying to get Aberdeen back up the table and his brief tenure with the Dons will not be judged on matches with Rangers.
Well, at least not outside of Aberdeen supporters’ clubs.
The legendary English manager is a real character and as he goads the Ibrox ball boys, we suspect this won’t be the final soundbites we get from him this season.
